Thank you to all the people who took an interest in, and provided input into, the Cabin Gas Plant Environmental Assessment and Oil and Gas Commission processes over this past year.
We believe in supporting our long-term relationships with Fort Nelson and the Northeast BC communities where we operate, and we know sharing information remains important as we move into the future together. We would like you to know:

• Encana was granted an Environmental Assessment Certificate for Cabin Gas Plant on January 28, 2010. The Minister of Environment and Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources granted the certificate after considering the review led by B.C.’s Environmental Assessment Office. The certificate includes the obligation for Encana to comply with 60 legally binding commitments developed throughout the environmental assessment process.
• Encana received its Oil and Gas Commission permits for Cabin Gas Plant on March 12, 2010

Contracting Opportunites

EnCana has received permits to start construction on the Cabin Gas Plant. Clearing and grading will start this spring, with plant construction beginning this summer. The construction phase will be completed by summer of 2012 with operations starting in the fall of 2012. Contracting opportunities will be posted on this page.
